From Gimpo Airport to the City

from Gimpo Airport to the city 🥰

There are mainly four ways
to travel from Gimpo Airport 🚎

Transportation Methods

The first option is taking a taxi.
A taxi to Seoul Station costs
about 30,000 to 40,000 KRW.

⚠️ Be careful of people approaching you at the airport

saying things like “You can take a taxi for a flat rate of 70,000 KRW.”

” This is often a scam.

During rush hours, the roads are very congested,
so if you’re in a hurry, avoid peak times
or use the subway

The second option is taking a city bus 🚎
To Seoul Station, it takes about 70 minutes.
You can take bus No. 601 (Seodaemun Station), No. 605 (Seoul Station), etc. 🙋‍♀️

Like taxis,
buses can be stuck during rush hour,
so it’s not the most recommended option…💦
Also, as many commuters use the bus at these times,
they can be very crowded 💥

The third option is taking the subway.
Gimpo Airport has Line 9 and Line 5.

For Gangnam direction, take Line 9,
for Jongno direction, take Line 5 🧐
Line 9 has express and all-stop trains.

If you take the express train,
you can reach the Express Bus Terminal
in about 30 minutes 🙆‍♀️✨

Please be cautious during rush hours 😣

Difference Between Express and All-stop

Red signs indicate express trains 🚈
Express trains only stop at specific stations,

so be careful when transferring between express and all-stop trains 💦
Also, when switching from express to all-stop,
you may need to move to the opposite platform,

The last option is using AREX,
which we also introduced in the Incheon Airport guide.
From Gimpo Airport to Seoul Station,
AREX takes about 20 minutes with no transfers ✨
Only all-stop trains operate at Gimpo Airport,
but it’s a convenient option, so we recommend it 🥰
